While the establishment is slightly in need of updating, the place was clean, views very comforting and... read more staff were always friendly, accommodating and helpful. It was a lovely place to come back to, after heartbreaking days. While the weather wasn't on our side, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Food at the restaurant (both breakfast and dinner), was 5/5. A few minute stroll, along the scenic marina boardwalk, to the local Sails Hotel, Lighthouse Seafood & The Deck Steakhouse (which has the best food also), was always pleasant. Beds very comfy and loved having a mini kitchenette, our own laundry and wonderful big spa bath. Thoroughly enjoyed our view from both balconies, which we enjoyed each day. Definitely worth a stay. It helped our soul.

  Good value at the edge of town  - We had a comfortable large room that was clean but a little worn. In spite of the size, there was no luggage rack or anywhere to unpack except on the... read more couch. Our room had a jacuzzi tub next to the bed but it was not a problem, just odd. We arrived late and thankfully the restaurant was still open to provide dinner. The waiter offered several suggestions for our time in Albany. The downtown is a brisk 30 minute walk, there are no cafes or shops for many blocks from the hotel. There is a laundry onsite and a clothesline outside if you have pegs to hang. The housekeeping staff do not come in daily but will provide whatever you need, including face flannels.

They have a bar and a lounge area where you can sit and have some drinks before dinner. The staff were very friendly, helpful and professional. We would definitely stay there again.
